We’re on a super chill island in Thailand and two guys have basically set up a full time office in the restaurant area of our bungalow.
Constant work calls, laptop setup, the whole thing. My partner is ready to lose it because she didn’t pay to listen to someone’s Zoom meetings on holiday. I’m right there with her.
One of them even opened a call with “Yeah, it’s very peaceful. Like The Beach.” We both just looked at each other like… it was peaceful.
I’ve done the nomad thing myself, and a big part of that is being aware of your surroundings and not annoying everyone else. Using a shared restaurant as your personal office just feels inconsiderate.
Curious what others think. At what point does “working remotely” cross into ruining the vibe for everyone else?
