Difference between priority boarding and EarlyBird?

I’m A-List and noticed Southwest says not to add EarlyBird since it already includes “priority boarding.” Does that basically mean I’ll always board with the A group even without EB? I’ve been out of the loop since spring, so trying to figure out if it’s worth adding.
