Diamond Reserve… and nobody seems to know what it is

Lifetime Diamond here and just hit Diamond Reserve about a month ago.

Honestly? It’s been pretty underwhelming.

At almost every hotel I check into, the front desk has no idea what Diamond Reserve even is. A few have told me their system doesn’t show anything beyond Lifetime Diamond. Not that I’m fishing for special treatment, it’s more curiosity about how Hilton actually rolled this out.

It reminds me of how long it took for the F&B credit to be applied consistently.

I’m not even sure how the promised perks like late checkout are supposed to work if properties don’t recognize the tier.

Just sharing in case anyone is stretching to hit it. Maybe it’ll smooth out over time, but right now it feels more theoretical than practical.
