If you're looking for something active to do indoors with kids in Detroit, the Outdoor Adventure Center is a total gem. It’s like a mini national park visitor center mashed up with a playground and a science museum and it’s $5 tops. The fishing boat simulator and eagle's nest photo op were big hits with our crew, and it’s just a nice break from screen-heavy outings and more it’s right by the Dequindre Cut and Eastern Market, so you can easily turn it into a full day downtown.
Feels like one of those spots that doesn’t get talked about enough outside the local loop.
