I was denied boarding twice in a row on flights from Copenhagen to Manchester with Ryanair.
On the first flight, I was bumped due to overbooking and rebooked onto a later flight about 8 hours afterward, with an assigned seat. However, when I arrived for the second flight, I was again denied boarding because it was also overbooked.
At the gate, I was told my booking only showed standby status despite my boarding pass indicating a confirmed seat. The situation escalated at the gate, and I was reportedly treated rudely by staff.
I’m very upset and confused, especially after being denied boarding twice, and I was also told I may not be eligible for compensation for the second flight. I’m trying to understand what my rights are in this situation.
