My husband was flying to Australia for my dad’s funeral. The visa app had issues so it wasn’t showing on their end, even though he had applied.
I called Australian border control myself while he was at the airport. They manually approved it and confirmed it was valid in the official app. The supervisor refused to call them, refused to accept the digital visa, and insisted on a printed copy. Even after border control said they could verify it directly.
Then it gets worse. She canceled his entire international itinerary without telling him. He only found out at the gate. Gate agents were shocked and had to rebuild the whole booking. They said digital visas are completely normal.
I’m honestly furious. The lack of care, especially knowing he was traveling for a funeral, is unreal.
Has anyone escalated something like this with Delta and actually gotten a real response?
