While traveling back from Italy on a Delta Air Lines flight from Rome (FCO) to New York (JFK), a passenger reported an unexpected engagement celebration organized by airport and cabin staff.
The poster had informed a customer service representative in advance about their recent engagement and had only requested a small gesture, such as a note in their seat. Instead, the gate team went much further.
At the airport, gate agents met the couple, called them up to the desk, made an announcement, and presented balloons, a framed photo opportunity, handwritten notes, and small gift bags. The staff also displayed a congratulatory poster with their names.
Onboard, flight attendants continued the celebration by decorating their seats with rose petals, balloons, and sweets, and personally congratulated them during boarding.
The passenger expressed strong appreciation for the crew’s effort and the overall experience.
