Flew through LHR last week as Platinum, but in main cabin. Last time I totally missed some of the benefits and just stood in regular security like everyone else.
This time I was told to scan my boarding pass near the SkyPriority counters and use the Virgin Upper Class Wing. Game changer. Separate security line, super quick, basically like PreCheck. Didn’t have to pull liquids or laptops. Probably saved 30 to 45 minutes during the morning rush.
Also learned that as Platinum in main you can use the No1 Lounge. Not the paid entrance, the one on the right that says no invitation. Honestly really solid. Good food, order from a menu, attentive staff.
LHR is not an airport I usually describe as relaxing, but this time it actually was.
Sharing in case other Platinums didn’t realize this either.
