Wild story out of Boston a Delta flight from Paris to New York had to divert to Logan because of bad weather, and while landing, another Cape Air plane was taking off on an intersecting runway. The pilots had to do a go-around after coming way too close.
Everyone’s fine, but the audio between the crews is pretty chilling (“That was close,” “Yeah, man. Not cool.”). FAA’s investigating, and experts are blaming controller shortages made worse by the government shutdown.
Honestly feels like every week there’s another close call lately kind of worrying how thin the system’s stretched.
