As someone who’s flown on Delta’s ex-LATAM A350s, I can tell you the difference between those and Delta’s standard cabins is night and day. The 2-2-2 business class felt cramped, and having to climb over someone to get to the aisle on a long-haul flight was not ideal. No premium economy also meant fewer options if you wanted something better than coach but didn’t want to splurge on business.
Hearing that Delta is almost done upgrading these planes is great news. The suites with doors, proper premium economy, and fewer total seats will make those long international hauls way more comfortable. I’ll definitely be checking the seat map before booking if I see the updated layout, I’m much more likely to choose that flight over other options. Comfort matters when you’re stuck in the air for 10+ hours.
