Delta passenger says he was served a poisonous weed in first class salad

So this story’s wild a Delta passenger flying ORD–SEA claims he got sick mid-flight after eating what turned out to be black nightshade in his first class salad. He says the flight attendant actually took the salad away when he tried to keep it as evidence, calling it “Delta’s property.”

Paramedics met the flight in Seattle, and Delta’s only offered him 3,000 SkyMiles so far. Photos apparently show the plant, and it looks pretty real.

If this is true, that’s terrifying. Food prep mistakes happen, but taking away the “evidence” instead of reporting it? That’s the part that’s hard to wrap my head around.
