I recently experienced a major disruption with Delta Air Lines where a delay eventually escalated into a full flight cancellation and rebooking for all passengers.
The airline issued a $200 travel voucher as compensation, which I accepted. However, I also asked whether SkyMiles would be provided in addition, since that has been common in past disruption cases.
I was told that SkyMiles are apparently no longer being offered as a compensation option at this time, which seemed unusual to me.
Has anyone else encountered this change in how compensation is being handled?
