Delta Airlines wants AI to guess the highest price you will pay for a ticket

So Delta’s basically building an algorithm that stares into your soul and says, “Yeah, I bet you’ll cough up $642 for that ATL–LAX red-eye.” I get the logic from their side, but man, this doesn’t feel great from a passenger perspective. They’re not just using AI to adjust prices for demand, they’re literally trying to calculate your personal ceiling. Call it what it is: price profiling.

I don’t know how this doesn’t spark more backlash. I mean, when airlines already make booking feel like a psychological test, adding AI that tailors prices to you seems like next-level wallet warfare. Anyone else find this kind of pricing tech a little dystopian?
