Delta Air Lines has announced a major rebranding of its fare structure, effective for flights on or after October 1, 2025. The airline is renaming its cabin classes—Main Cabin becomes Delta Main, Comfort+ becomes Delta Comfort, and First Class becomes Delta First—while Premium Select and Delta One remain unchanged. Within each category, passengers can now choose among three “experience” tiers—Basic, Classic, and Extra—though “Extra” is unavailable on all routes. The new tiered structure affects key perks such as refundability, cancellation flexibility, SkyMiles earnings, and upgrade priority: “Extra” tickets receive higher upgrade priority, “Classic” offers moderate flexibility, and “Basic” fares are the most restrictive. Importantly, once an experience level is selected at booking, it cannot be modified later.
