Delta Air Lines announced it will discontinue its less-than-two-year-old nonstop service between Midland International Air & Space Port (MAF) and Austin–Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) effective November 9, 2025. The airline attributed the cancellation to shifting consumer demand and stated it would reallocate resources toward other Austin routes—including Denver, Columbus, Kansas City, San Francisco, and Indianapolis—to reinforce its presence in Central Texas.
