Delta Air Lines announced a comprehensive rebranding of its fare structure, effective for flights on or after October 1, 2025. The airline has renamed fare categories—“Main Cabin” becomes Delta Main, “Comfort+” becomes Delta Comfort, and “First Class” is now Delta First, while Delta Premium Select and Delta One remain unchanged. Each fare category will now offer “classic” and “extra” versions, with “extra” replacing fully refundable fares and offering enhanced benefits. Additionally, Delta Main introduces a third sub-tier—Delta Main Basic—which replaces traditional basic economy. The update aims to enhance transparency, customization, and opportunity for upselling, while influencing reward-mile accrual and upgrade priorities.
