I have a soft spot for the 757 and 767 too. They’ve got character. But man… when you’re sitting at the gate for the third time this year because of “maintenance,” the nostalgia fades fast.
The 757 especially feels like it’s always one MEL away from ruining your day. When they run, they’re great. When they don’t… it’s a mess.
IAD to AMS on a delay is not a short hop either. That’s a long wait staring at an aging bird.
2030 suddenly feels very far away when you’re on your third delay of the year.
