I’m on my fourth Alaska cruise, but my first time sailing the Inside Passage, which is usually described as relatively smooth.
However, we’re currently experiencing around 20-foot swells coming from the side, and the ship is rolling quite a bit. Even the stabilizers don’t seem to be fully countering the motion.
As a regular cruiser, I’ve resorted to my usual trick for motion sickness: heading to the buffet sushi station to get some ginger. It seems to help and might be useful for others dealing with similar conditions.
