DC Travelers, Be Aware as Wildfire Smoke from Canada Affects Air Quality This Week

Heads up to anyone flying into, out of, or exploring DC this week, a Code Yellow air quality alert is in effect due to smoke drifting in from wildfires in Manitoba, Canada. It could shift to Code Orange by Wednesday, especially impacting kids, seniors, and folks with asthma or respiratory issues. If you're visiting the monuments or planning any long walks outside, maybe ease up or take breaks indoors.

As someone who's dealt with wildfire smoke while traveling before, it can sneak up on you. Even if the sky looks clear, your lungs might not be thrilled. Pack a mask just in case and check local air quality before heading out.

Anyone else adjusting their DC plans because of this? Share any good indoor spots to chill that aren’t packed.
