A cruiser shared an experience from a trip with Norwegian Cruise Line involving an accidental damage charge after a television in their cabin was broken early in the voyage. The incident occurred on the second day of the cruise when furniture was moved from the balcony area, resulting in the TV being damaged.
The passenger reported the damage immediately to guest services so the issue could be addressed and the cabin prepared for the next set of guests. A charge of $342 was later applied for the replacement of the TV. The traveler noted that they accepted responsibility for the incident but were surprised by the follow-up process.
They also mentioned that staff attempted to obtain a signature for the charge in the evening by both knocking on the cabin door and calling the room simultaneously, which they found inconvenient. Despite this, the passenger acknowledged the situation and shared the experience as a reminder for others to be cautious when moving items inside cruise cabins.
