That would stress me out a bit… 5 hours is a long time, especially with kids, and no snacks at all sounds rough.
From what I’ve seen, people usually try to bring small stuff off the ship anyway, like sealed snacks or something easy to carry. Technically rules can be strict, but it seems to depend on the port and how closely they check.
Otherwise it’s kinda just hoping there’s something nearby, which isn’t great when you’re locked into an excursion.
I’d probably try to sneak in a few snacks just to be safe.
