Had a connection at IST and went up to the food court where there’s Popeyes, Sbarro, Arby’s, etc. I noticed a Döner place and checked the menu… the prices looked insane.
At first I thought I was misreading it, so I pulled up a currency converter just to be sure.
Turns out the #4 combo was about:
$41.97 USD
€36.29
£31.40
$59.74 AUD
The weird part was that every other place in the food court had menus listed in euros, but this one was only in Turkish lira, which made it harder to immediately notice how expensive it actually was.
Safe to say I did not order there.
