I am flying on a United Airlines Boeing 737 MAX 8 for a flight lasting about 6.5 hours, and I am trying to decide on seat selection when traveling with my partner.
We currently have Economy Plus seats assigned as an aisle and window combination. I am considering whether we should keep this setup or change it so we are seated together, since I feel slightly uncomfortable with a stranger occupying the middle seat between us.
At the same time, I am aware that switching seats might reduce comfort for us on a long flight, even though we try to keep interaction with the middle passenger minimal.
I am curious what other travelers typically do in this situation.
