Cooler Days Ahead in Michigan Before Weekend Heat and Storms Return

Woke up to a hazy sunrise in West Michigan today that’s the Canadian wildfire smoke drifting back over us. After yesterday’s storms, it actually feels refreshing outside, with temps in the low 80s down south and even cooler near Lake Superior. The breeze is light, the air’s drier, and it’s a perfect day for an evening walk.

But it looks like we’ll be turning the thermostat back up soon. By the weekend, southerly winds are going to crank up the heat and humidity again, pushing us into the upper 80s and low 90s. Forecast says thunderstorms could roll in Friday night into Saturday, with the heaviest risk in the north but chances for everyone by Sunday.

Anyone else planning to soak in the calm before the storm?
