My friend (25M) and I (23M) are considering doing a 14-day cruise from Port Canaveral to Barcelona in August on the Carnival Freedom.
I have already gotten PTO approved and can afford the trip, but I am still a bit unsure about whether it is the right choice.
For context, my friend is an experienced traveler but has never been on a cruise. I have been on two cruises (7 and 9 days), but that is the extent of my travel experience.
I am wondering what the social atmosphere is like on a transatlantic cruise at our age. Will there be other younger people to meet and hang out with, or is it mostly retirees?
I am also curious whether the ship is well suited for a longer 2-week voyage and whether people generally find this kind of itinerary enjoyable.
I would appreciate any real experiences or advice on whether this type of cruise is worth doing or not.
