Confused by Twentyseven AMS cancellation policy with FNCs

Booked a few nights at Hotel Twentyseven in Amsterdam using FNCs. The confirmation says if you cancel/modify within 21 days, they’ll charge the full price (almost €900 a night).

Does that really mean they’d bill my card instead of just taking back the FNCs? If so, I might switch to WA.
