Flew CUN–LAX with a C+ ticket that got upgraded all the way to first on both legs. Delta’s site/app said Golds flying first from Mexico get Sky Club access, so I figured I was good. At the lounge they told me I wasn’t eligible. I still got in after some back and forth, but now I’m just trying to understand the rule.
Is the issue that the first class seat came from an upgrade instead of being originally booked? Kinda weird how the app shows access but the lounge says no.
