Hi everyone, I’m trying to figure out whether I’m overlooking something obvious or if Amtrak is doing something unusual with future schedules.
A friend and I booked what we thought was the same train for a trip a few months from now. While reviewing our travel plans, we noticed that our reservations appear to show different train numbers. The routes and dates are the same, and the departure times only differ slightly, but one of the train numbers no longer appears when searching for trips.
The strange part is that I’m still booked on the train that no longer seems to exist in the system, while the other one still shows as available.
Has anyone experienced something similar before? I’m wondering if this is just a temporary scheduling adjustment that will sort itself out, or if I should contact Amtrak to avoid issues later.
