We are a family traveling with two kids from London to Tirana this August with Wizz Air.
We have already booked accommodation, car hire, and other parts of the trip separately, so everything depends on these flights going ahead.
Lately, I have been seeing news and discussions about a potential jet fuel shortage and airlines cancelling flights. This has made me a bit concerned about whether Wizz Air might cancel flights, especially during peak travel season.
Does anyone know if Wizz Air is currently cancelling flights because of fuel issues, or how likely this is to affect flights in August?
Also, if the airline cancels, what typically happens with compensation or rebooking? We do have annual travel insurance, but I am not sure if it would cover all the separate bookings if the flight is cancelled.
Any insight or recent experiences would be really helpful.
