I’m planning a trip to Greece in the next couple of weeks, but I’ve been seeing a lot of worrying information online about the new Entry/Exit System (EES) and possible fuel shortages.
I understand that no one can predict exactly what will happen, but I’d like to hear from others who may have recent experience or insights. I’ve read that EES checks can take anywhere from a couple of hours to even longer in some cases, which makes me a bit anxious.
I have a 2 hour layover in Rome before continuing on to Greece. Under normal circumstances that would be enough, but with these reported delays, I’m unsure if it’s still realistic.
I’m also hesitant to book my flights because of ongoing political tensions and reports of cancellations linked to fuel shortages. I’ve even seen cases where travelers were stuck in countries for days.
At this point, I’m trying to decide whether to go ahead with the trip or play it safe and skip it altogether. Has anyone traveled recently or dealt with similar concerns? Any advice would really help.
