I am a Southwest Priority credit card holder with a Companion Pass. My flight is at the end of June, and I was checking seat upgrade options.
I noticed something strange: the upgrade cost for my companion is lower than mine. For example, seat 1E shows $55 for me, but only $40 for my companion (my mom, age 60).
I assumed my upgrade pricing would be equal or cheaper as the primary passenger. Can anyone explain why the companion seat upgrade would cost less?
