I’m seeing something really frustrating with the Alaska Airlines companion fare.
When I check a flight normally, the price shows $474 per person for the same fare type. But as soon as I try to use the companion fare, the main ticket price jumps to $797, which basically cancels out the benefit.
What’s the point of the perk if the pricing changes like this? Has anyone else noticed this happening or found a way around it?
