I recently flew Club Europe from Madrid to Heathrow and had one of the best meals I have had in business class.
I was genuinely surprised because I had a long haul Club World flight only a couple of weeks earlier and the food was just average and not very memorable.
This time the meal felt noticeably better in quality, including the main dish and even the bread, which did not feel like the usual reheated roll.
I do not usually fly Club Europe on short haul routes, but this experience makes me reconsider it, especially combined with the Iberia lounges at Madrid Barajas.
I am wondering if this is part of a wider improvement in BA short haul catering or just a one-off good experience.
