For any fellow travel hackers out there, Citi just made a pretty big move you can now transfer ThankYou points from no-annual-fee cards like the Custom Cash and Double Cash to American Airlines AAdvantage. It’s not a perfect 1:1 transfer, but still super handy if you’re just a few miles short of an award flight. I’ve been using the Double Cash for ages and always felt limited on airline transfers, so this adds some real flexibility.
Personally, I wouldn’t do a big transfer at that rate unless I needed a quick top-off. But if you also have a premium Citi card, you can still combine accounts and transfer at 1:1. Anyone planning to use this soon? Or do you prefer to save ThankYou points for hotel partners like Choice or LHOW?
