We have been to Manhattan a few times over the past few years, mostly in spring and summer, but this time we will be visiting from December 21 to 28 to experience New York during the holiday season for the first time.
We have stayed at The Barclay three times and generally enjoy it, but we are considering trying a different property for this trip.
A friend recently stayed at the IC Times Square as a Platinum Ambassador and had a good experience, but I am a bit hesitant about staying right in the middle of the busiest tourist area. We are also looking at Kimpton Era, although the room sizes seem quite small.
I am currently Platinum Ambassador status but will likely be Diamond by the time of the trip. I am looking for opinions on these properties or any other higher-end InterContinental or IHG options in NYC that are particularly good during Christmas.
Just want to make sure we are not missing a strong option.
