Chose to use my upgrade credits was it worth it

I decided to use my Qcredits to upgrade my seat. When I arrived at the gate, I noticed the flight was almost empty with maybe around 40 passengers total.

Now I am questioning whether that was the best decision since I could have probably had an empty row anyway. However, I still had about 90 Qcredits left, so I figured it made sense to use them rather than let them expire.
