China Eastern Airlines has launched a new four-weekly direct route between Shanghai-Pudong and Barcelona, operated by a specially themed Airbus A350-900. The aircraft features a stunning interior design celebrating both cities’ architectural icons — combining the Modernist works of Antoni Gaudí with imagery inspired by Shanghai’s Bund skyline. The airline unveiled the design at a media event held at Barcelona Airport, emphasizing the cultural and artistic connection between China and Spain. The initiative symbolizes China Eastern’s growing focus on enhancing passenger experience and showcasing cross-cultural design through aviation.
