Trying to figure out what would happen if I check in for a flight and check my bags, but don’t actually board the plane.
The situation is that I have a Spirit Airlines credit card that includes two free checked bags. I booked a family trip using points, but my plans changed and I won’t be flying back with them.
Since the family still needs checked bags for the return, the idea was to check in for the flight, check the bags under my reservation, and then not board the plane myself.
Just wondering if the bags would still make it to the destination or if they would get pulled off the plane if I didn’t board.
