I am moving off island and was hoping to use HDX storage bins as checked luggage since they seem like a practical option.
I am trying to maximize space, but I noticed the larger 27-gallon bin measures about 63.3 linear inches, while Hawaiian Airlines lists the standard checked baggage limit at 62 linear inches.
Has anyone used these bins recently for checked baggage? If so, were you charged an oversized baggage fee or did they allow it without issue?
Would really appreciate any recent experiences or advice before I commit to buying them.
