Diamond member here and travel a lot for work. Took a quick overnight to Providence just to grab one more night and hit a points goal. Checked into Hilton Downtown Providence and immediately smelled something very wrong.
Went into the bathroom and lifted the bathtub drain and there was literal human feces sitting there. Not exaggerating. I left the room right away and asked to be moved.
Second room they gave me smelled strongly of marijuana, so at that point I asked for a full refund and walked over to a nearby Hampton Inn instead, which was totally fine.
Staff were actually very nice, especially the maintenance guy who said he’d never seen anything like it. But I honestly don’t understand how housekeeping missed that. That hotel is a hard no for me going forward.
