Booked Emirates from Country 1 → DXB, then a totally separate Air Canada ticket DXB → Nova Scotia. Wondering if EK will tag both bags all the way through.
In most cases Emirates won’t interline bags to another airline on separate tickets anymore, even if the airlines can interline. It’s hit or miss at the counter, but you really shouldn’t count on it. Usually they’ll make you pick up the bags in Dubai, clear whatever you need to clear, then recheck with AC.
Anyone ever gotten EK to check bags through to AC on split tickets recently?
