I’m heading to Xi’an for a 5 month Erasmus starting August 15 and prices are looking rough.
August doesn’t seem like a cheap time to fly to China at all. I was thinking maybe I could fly somewhere else first, stay up to a week, then grab a separate ticket to Xi’an if that saves money and lets me see a new place.
Problem is you can’t really search “anywhere to Xi’an” on Skyscanner or Google Flights.
Has anyone done something similar? Like flying to a major hub in Asia first and then booking a separate cheap flight into China?
My budget is around €300 to €350… not sure if that’s even realistic in August but figured I’d ask.
