I am looking for affordable flight options for a family of four traveling to Cape Town, South Africa to visit family. We are based in Salt Lake City and are finding that both cash fares and points redemptions are currently very expensive, often around $1,800 per ticket.
We are flexible with travel dates, ideally considering October or April for a two-week trip, but June through July could also work. We are open to adjusting timing if it helps reduce the cost.
We can also depart from Los Angeles or Orange County (John Wayne Airport) if that improves pricing or routing. I am looking for suggestions on cheaper routes, airlines, or booking strategies to lower the overall cost.
