Looks like a bunch of hotels just vanished from Edit, especially the ones that still had some value if you stacked the Edit credit with the new hotel credit. Most IHG properties, including InterContinental and Kimpton, are gone now.
I was trying to use the credit for upcoming stays in SF and Chicago and there’s basically nothing left at a reasonable price. Feels like the credit went from “limited but workable” to “functionally zero” overnight.
What really annoys me is how fast and quietly this happened. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a card benefit devalued this quickly without a clear announcement. Compared to what Amex Platinum or even Strata Elite are offering, this feels like a big miss.
Curious if others are seeing the same thing in their cities or if I’m just unlucky with destinations.
