Just got back from Maui, amazing trip, but dealing with Hawaiian Airlines after has been a headache.
We booked directly with Hawaiian and paid using the Hawaiian credit card, which is supposed to give two free checked bags. Instead we were charged both ways. $40 for the first bag and $45 for the second each direction. Same size, same weight. Total came out to $170.
It took five phone calls and six emails before they finally agreed to refund it. It honestly felt like they just charge first and only fix it if you push hard enough.
Just a heads up to double check your baggage charges if you’re relying on the credit card perk.
