Chaos on the Tarmac: American Airlines Passengers Evacuate Burning Plane in Denver

Talk about a terrifying travel moment I was on American Airlines Flight 3023, ready to fly from Denver to Miami, when we suddenly slammed to a stop. A fire had sparked in the brake system after a tire issue during takeoff. The pilot yelled “Evacuate!” and pure panic set in. We had to slide down the emergency chute while smoke billowed around us people were falling, screaming, and carrying kids.

The fire was quickly put out by Denver Fire, and thankfully only one person had minor injuries. It’s scary to think how fast things went from normal to emergency. The FAA is investigating, and the plane was taken out of service. We eventually made it to Miami on another aircraft.

If you've ever had to evacuate a plane, how did you handle it? Would you fly the same airline again after something like this? Curious to hear your thoughts.
