We had just wrapped up a rainy but magical day at Magic Kingdom when we hopped on the General Joe Potter ferry and what was supposed to be a relaxing boat ride turned into a nightmare. As we approached the dock at full speed, there was no warning. Suddenly, the ferry slammed into the barrier, throwing people forward. Kids screamed, a pregnant woman fell, and panic set in. It was dark, rainy, and terrifying.
No announcement, no apology just chaos. Thankfully, my daughter wasn’t hurt, but we were all shaken. I ended up with a bruised hand and foot, and others had it worse. Emergency responders were already at the dock when we got off. I’ve loved Disney for years, but this shook me. Anyone else been through something like this on a park ferry?
