Looking ahead to spring 2026 schedules and it feels like Cathay is pushing the A350 almost entirely onto long haul. Most Europe, North America, and some Australia routes are showing A359s, aside from the 777s with the new suites.
But when I look at shorter or medium haul routes like Seoul, Singapore, and Tokyo, I’m mostly seeing A321s, A330s, or the high density 777s. I’m not spotting many A350s on those routes anymore.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but the A350 seems ideal for 4 to 5 hour flights, especially in economy. Curious if this is a deliberate fleet strategy going forward or just a temporary scheduling thing.
