I recently noticed a change in the Cathay Pacific lounge arrangement in Manila. It seems the dedicated CX lounge has been removed, and passengers are now directed to use the airport’s general lounge instead.
While the replacement lounge itself looks visually fine, the experience feels like a downgrade compared to what was previously offered. The food quality is noticeably worse, and I was surprised to find that wine is now being charged separately rather than being included as part of the lounge service.
Overall, it feels like a cost-cutting or revenue-driven change that reduces the premium experience for Cathay Pacific passengers flying through Manila.
Has anyone else recently used this lounge? I am curious if this is a permanent change or just a temporary arrangement during renovations or airport restructuring.
