I had a question about standard carry-on luggage dimensions, which are often listed as 22 x 14 x 9 inches.
I understand the 22" and 14" measurements, but I’m unsure about the 9" depth—does that include the wheels, or is it measured from the body of the suitcase only? Most of my bags seem to exceed 9" unless I exclude the wheels.
On previous flights, I’ve noticed other passengers carrying bags that looked larger than the allowed size. I usually travel with a soft duffel bag, so it hasn’t been an issue before. However, now I’m using a rolling suitcase that measures 22 x 14 x 14, and I want to avoid having to check it at the last minute.
